About Me

I am a whimsical, nature inspired, mixed media artist. I paint in both acrylic and oil, but frequently I use a layering technique, combining newspaper, fabric, modelling paste and dried flowers, to create a multi-layered, recycled, textured piece of art.

I am inspired to paint the beauty of nature and it's color. I paint the subjects from the rural area I live in, Cherokee Village, which is surrounded by woods and lakes. My paintings usually include trees, birds and animals.

I was born in England, but spent my teens in South Africa. I returned to England and studied art and then later, fashion design. I continued to travel and I have also lived in Toronto, Minnesota, Tennessee, Florida and Arkansas. I am married with two sons.
